2026 AIMS MMST Scholarship – Master of Mathematical Sciences for Teachers (Fully Funded)
Description
About the Program
The African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) Ghana is inviting applications for a two-year Master of Science in Mathematical Sciences for Teachers (MMST). This program is specially designed for mathematics teachers across Africa.
The AIMS MMST is a professional degree aimed at helping current math teachers deepen their knowledge of foundational mathematical concepts related to core secondary school curricula, as well as modern applications of mathematics.
In addition to strong mathematical content, the program includes relevant pedagogy courses that challenge participants to explore innovative, research-informed teaching methods.
Program Delivery
The MMST is offered on a part-time, online basis and is open to both Ghanaian nationals and other African nationals.
The AIMS teaching and learning model — developed by distinguished faculty from around the world — is uniquely designed to emphasize creativity, innovation, and flexibility.
The program offers both a broad overview and in-depth study of cutting-edge topics in mathematical sciences, with a strong focus on computing and research skills. Students are exposed to a wide range of subjects, allowing them to make informed choices about their future specialization.
